 POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic School is an independent Roman Catholic K-12 school of the Diocese of Peterborough Ontario committed to providing an authentic Catholic liberal arts education.

Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic School is seeking a Grades 9-12 Humanities Teacher, responsible for the Humanities course, as well as Writing/Reading & Research and possibly Theology.

The ideal candidate will be a person committed to the new evangelization with a passion for accompanying and mentoring young people in their Catholic Christian walk, dedicated to providing excellent instruction in designated topics. We are seeking a collaborative educator who will demonstrate the ability to contribute to different facets of school lifeand is willing to work as part of a team that seeks to grow as a group of professionals in Catholic liberal arts education and as a school committed to dynamic excellence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A university degree or post graduate degree
  • Educational experience
  • Experience with Catholic classical liberal arts education or willingness to learn
