Nancy Dunk – Chair

Retired after 40 years of work in the private sector, Nancy now looks forward to working with the families of Wayside. The first 15 years of her working career were spent in healthcare in positions of development and services. The last 25 years Nancy founded her own company servicing thousands of employers across Canada, specializing in Safety, Human Resource, and organizational development.

Although Nancy’s plan was retirement, our good Lord called her to a new season. She now resides in Peterborough, where she can attend daily mass, adoration and seek the will of God.

Teresa Mulligan – Vice Chair

Teresa grew up in the Lindsay area where she currently resides. Her career was spent working in corporate environments within large retail organizations leading teams in the field of Human Resource Management – employee relations, leadership training and development, recruitment and selection, organizational development and strategic planning. Teresa is a parishioner of St. Mary’s parish in Lindsay where she is involved in various parish groups and activities. She very much enjoys helping young people grow closer to Christ and she is grateful to have developed many friendships during her time in the roles of Youth Coordinator and Catechist at her parish and through her involvement in various youth events. Teresa also serves as a co-worker with the Sisters of Life and does work with a local pro-life organization, Kawartha4Life.

Stefanie Tan – Secretary

Stefanie is an internationally trained physician, public health practitioner, and is currently the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Programs for MedicAlert Foundation Canada, the largest membership-based registered charity in Canada, where she oversees strategy development, building and scaling new operations, and strategic partnerships. She is looking forward to serving the Wayside community as a board member, and lending her expertise where needed to ensure growth and sustainability of the school for future generations.

Fr. Stephen DeCarlo – Bishop Appointed Director to the Board

Fr. Stephen is a priest of the Diocese of Peterborough and is currently serving as the Director of Vocations and Formation as well as the Director of the Diocesan Youth Office. In addition, he sits on the Committee for Ongoing Clergy Formation, helping organize and execute the clergy retreats and study days. Originally from Peterborough, ON, he went to Holy Cross Secondary and graduated with a Bachelor of Thomistic Thought from St. Philip’s Seminary, Toronto, and later on with a Masters of Divinity from the University of Toronto and Baccalaureate of Sacred Theology from St. Augustine’s Seminary, Toronto. He served as associate pastor at St. Mary’s, Lindsay for two years and then was administrator of Immaculate Conception Parish, Peterborough, for three years.

Fr. Stephen is a regular presence at Wayside since he has also been attending to the school’s spiritual needs for daily Mass, adoration and confessions. As a long time recipient of Catholic education, he seeks to serve the Wayside community with zeal and joy.

Daniel Pei – Treasurer

Daniel is currently retired, but prior was a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting in Toronto and Asia and a senior executive at AXA Insurance Hong Kong and Asia. AXA is a global insurance company based in France. Daniel’s work at these firms was mostly helping companies with strategy, finance and operations.

Benjamin Lamb – Director

Benjamin is a Senior Consultant for Wellington Advocacy, a national public affairs company. Benjamin manages Government Relations across Ontario, gives strategic advice to clients from a variety of industries, such as health, labour, and education sectors.

Benjamin has family and friends in the Peterborough and Kawartha regions and has supported Wayside for years. He graduated from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College, 2017, and studied philosophy, literature, and theology. He is a champion for Catholic classical education.
