Maria Horvath

Maria Horvath grew up in a Catholic family in Peterborough, not far from this school. She attended Wayside Academy from grade 2-12 and enjoyed the school, people, and atmosphere immensely. She graduated from Trent University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science and continued on to complete her Bachelor of Education in 2024. Her teachables are Mathematics and Visual Art. During her time at Trent, she completed two placements here at Wayside with her former high school Math/Science teacher Mrs. Hodges. Seeing the vast difference between public Catholic schools and Wayside made her decide to return to Wayside and give back to the place where her love of the Faith was nurtured, and curiosity about the world blossomed.
