Christine Helferty

Kindergarten; k-6 music

Biography

Christine grew up in the beautiful Ottawa Valley and studied at Queen’s University in Kingston. Music has always been an important part of her life, from performing at the local music festival as a little girl, to her role as Mary Poppins in a local theatre company, to singing polyphony and chant at Holy Mass on Sundays. The third youngest in a family of ten, Christine has a special love for working with children. She recently directed a cast of thirty-two children in a musical theatre production of Sleeping Beauty. On weekends, Christine can be found swing dancing or listening to her favourite musical ensemble, Cécilia. Christine is delighted to be teaching kindergarten and music this year under the patronage of Our Lady. Our Lady of the Wayside: pray for us!
