Teresa Wenzell

Teresa Wenzell has a deep passion for the truth and sharing it with others. She is a firm believer in receiving an education that is authentically Catholic. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Catholic Studies Degree with a concentration in Theology from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College. She previously taught an elementary split class of grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 at Sacred Heart Academy in Oshawa, Ontario before her first year teaching grade 2 and 3 at Wayside last year. She currently teaches grade 1 and 2 at Wayside. Teresa was born and raised in ThunderBay, Ontario with her 3 siblings. Her favourite place to be, when not in the classroom, is the outdoors. She loves to take the classroom outside and enrich learning through exploring nature or engaging in a game or sport. Teresa herself loves sports, whether that's playing hockey or basketball on her own time, or playing with the students at recess or during gym class. Teresa loves going for walks, hikes, or being near the water. She feels most at home when she's outside or in the kitchen. She loves to bake and cook and share her creations with those she loves. Teresa is passionate about her faith. She continues to deepen her knowledge of the truth and enrich her faith through theological readings.
